Passport Letter...

Dear sirs,

I'm in the process of renewing my passport, and still cannot believe this. How is it that Radio Shack has my address and telephone number and knows that I bought a cable t.v. from them back in 1987, and yet, the Federal Government is still asking me where I was born and on what date. For Christ sakes, do you guys do this by hand?

My birth date you have on my social security card, and it is on all the income tax forms I've filed for the past 30 years. It is on my health insurance card, my driver's license, on the last eight damn passports I've had, on all those stupid customs declaration forms I've had to fill out before being allowed off the plane over the last 30 years, and all those insufferable census forms that are done at election times. Would somebody please take note, once and for all, that my mother's name is Maryanne, my father's name is Robert and I'd be absolutely astounded if that ever changed between now and when I die!!!!!!

I apologize, I'm really pissed off this morning. Between you and me, I've had enough of this bullshit! You send the application to my house, then you ask me for my fuckin' address. What is going on? You have a gang of Neanderthal assholes working there!
Look at my damn picture. Do I look like Bin Laden? I don't want to dig up Yasser Arafat, for shit sakes. I just want to go and park my ass on a sandy beach. And would someone please tell me, why would you give a shit whether I plan on visiting a farm in the next 15 days? If I ever got the urge to do something weird to a chicken or a goat, believe you me, I'd sure as hell not want to tell anyone!

Well, I have to go now, 'cause I have to go to the other end of the city and get another fuckin' copy of my birth certificate, to the tune of $60. Would it be so complicated to have all the services in the same spot to assist in the issuance of a new passport the same day?? Nooooo, that'd be to damn easy and maybe makes sense. You'd rather have us running all over the fuckin' place like chickens with our heads cut off, then find some asshole to confirm that it's really me on the damn picture - you know, the one where we're not allowed to smile?! (bureaucratic fuckin' morons) Hey, you know why we can't smile? We're totally pissed off!

Signed

An Irate Citizen.

P.S. Remember what I said above about the picture and getting someone to confirm that it's me? Well, my family has been in this country since 1776 .......I have served in the military for something over 30 years and have had security clearances up the yingyang........However, I have to get someone 'important' to verify who I am - you know, someone like my doctor WHO WAS BORN AND RAISED IN INDIA!

Sincerely,
You Sure In The Hell Should Know Who.

This is me

You will never understand me, Unless I want you to... You can never help me, Unless I allow you to... You can never love me, For I am far too complicated

Judge me & i'll prove you wrong Tell me what to do & i'll tell you off. Say im not worth it & watch where i end up. Call me a bitch & i'll show you one. Fuck me over & i'll do it twice as bad. Call me crazy... But you really have no idea.

I like things to happen the way I plan it & the way I want it. I'm a difficult person to understand due to my numerous mood swings that's hard to keep track of. I'm emotional unstable, too protective & possessive. I would do anything to make a person smile even if it makes me cry. Sometimes I care about the things or people who don't deserve anything from me. I'm mildly crazy & sometimes do the most ridiculous things on earth..

"New 7 star Hotel in Dubai"

THE APEIRON ISLAND HOTEL, “offshore” Dubai

Designed by UK’s Sybarite Architects, the futuristic and exclusive 7-star Apeiron Island Hotel will be 300m from the coast of Dubai. Access to the hotel is restricted to yacht (water) and helicopter (air) only.

For the ultimate in arrival and departure style, yachts can moor in the heart of the building’s core while helicopter will land at a helipad, 55 metres above the Arabian Gulf and connecting to the hotel’s ninth floor.

The 28-storey hotel environs will have an artificial crescent-shaped beach, private lagoons and a central lagoon with colourful coral reefs surrounding it. s the building that can generate some energy for the entire hotel

Not just that, the hotel will feature an underwater restaurant with views into the surrounding lagoon, an underwater gym and spa, an art gallery, …and the top two floors of the hotel will have a temperature-controlled butterfly jungle - a tropical habitat nearly 200m above water level !!!

WOW such a GRAND! 7-star hotel…

Dubai at Moonlight

Firstly try & avoid picking someone up on the street, remember this is a muslim country & this may lead to difficulties.

One of the busiest places to go is a Nightclub called `The Cyclone'. This place has 3 main areas, Cyclone Pub - Very quiet where you can sit down & listen to the Canadian Band, Cyclone Disco - This is where all the real action happens, quality is average, however get there early, perhaps around 11.30pm & you can pick a good one. The third area is above the disco, this area is reasonably dark & often is used for `blow-jobs' etc.

Pricing is from 200 Dirhams for a quick straight service to 700 Dirhams for a quality babe for the night. Mainly Russians here.

Try it & see!!

Another place is a Club called `The Garage', Split 50/50 between Russian & Ethiopian. Quality is lower & prices cheaper.

Lebanese & Philipinos when you do come across them tend to be very expensive.

Most bars in the large hotels will have a smatterring around the bar. They normally work in pairs, quality in the larger hotels is usually very high, as is the price.

I have made these observations about prostitution in Dubai and would like to share it with the world.

Though illegal, prostitution is commonly found in Dubai, since Dubai is an economy based on tourism and trading. Prostitution seems to be complementary to the economy as it supports the hospitality industy (which is almost fully owned / sponsored by the locals). This is how you can get prostitutes in Dubai, which i have divided based on their nationality.

Though police raid spots occasionally, it is merely an eyewash. Customers are let go immediately, while the prostitute is kept for a couple of hours. ALWAYS CARRY A NEW AND BRANDED PACKET OF CONDOMS THAT YOU SHOULD BUY FROM A MEDICAL STORE. AIDS IS COMMON. Clean yourselves before the act, especially when oral is involved.

RUSSIANS - These are the most commonly available prostitutes. Some are from Moscow, but the rest are from smaller breakaway republics of the confederation, though they may lie that they are from Moscow. The myth being that prostitutes from Moscow are better (and more expensive). They vary in ages from 16 - 40. They are found all over Dubai, and are easy to spot. You can pick one up almost any hour of the day. They are found in rooms in hotels and 'furnished apartments', in bars and on the streets. You may encounter pimps while walking in the streets of Deira (but you can do without their services well enough). Hotels and Furnished Apartments near the Fish Roundabout and near Al Nasr Square have room service with prostitutes. For Dhs.20 tip with the guy at the Reception, you can inspect the girls, who will be lazing away in the rooms all sexily dressed up, smoking and sometimes with a smell of whisky. If you do not like any of the girls, you are free to leave the place. If you do like one you can negotiate the rates. They vary and are bargainable. They may charge Dhs.50 for a straight, bj will cost you an additional Dhs.30. These prices can even triple if the prostitute considers herself better than that. There are some who would charge Dhs.150 for a straight and Dhs.500 for a night. Never go in for the night. After the first shot they will act sleepy / drunk / cold. You will only stand to lose your money. Better to return when the mood resets and choose another one. After you have concluded the prices, you may have to deposit your passport / identity card at the reception and pay for the room. Charges vary from Dhs.30 / hour to Dhs.150 / hour based on the quality of the hotel. A full night charge may vary between Dhs.150 to Dhs.500. They are also found in pubs, bars, discos and with bands in hotels all over Dubai. They can be fixed on the spot and their prices fall as the night becomes shorter. Hence a prostitute that might charge Dhs.1000 at 8pm will come down to Dhs.300 by 2am. If you have patience and if somebody doesn't pull the girl away, you stand to save money. They expect to be treated in the pub while you talk to them. They will order some expensive drinks and treats. So be careful. Several apartments all over Dubai too support this activites. A walk in the streets in Deira (try all the roads near the Fish Roundabout) will easily lead you to one. Do not go in for a 'full night' at these places. They usually want the customer out once the first shot is over and will behave in such a manner. Streetwalkers are the most easily available Russians in Dubai. A walk on Yousuf Baker Road and all the byelanes to it will easily suffice your search. The best timings are after 7pm. There is a car park near Maktoum Hospital where one can get bj's in your car. Once you pick them up, any taxi will guide you to a furnished apartment where you can peacefully enjoy. Remember that all Russians are bargainable. If success eludes you simply walk in MarMar Hotel on Yousuf Baker Road. No questions asked. Though most prostitutes seem clean, it is suspect. It would be advisable you thoroughly wash before orals. Though they hesitate initially, most provide bj's without rubber. It would be advisable to purchase a flavoured condom if bj is absolutely essential. You can also pick up more than one if you relish threesome (and more). Rarely do they provide anal. After sex, it is best you leave, as they completely detach from you, and those who stay on have an eye on your wallet. Never give gifts or extra money (they will have many sad tales to relate).

ETHIOPIANS - This is the second most found variety. Very beautiful, well dressed, slim and with well endowed breasts. They are mostly found in Deira. They can be found in the furnished apartments around Gold Souk. The best bet would be The Garage (behind KFC, Al Nasr Square) and after 10pm. The enterance is Dhs.50 and is open till about 3am. Your ability to bargain will fetch you a good deal. Most of them have their own flats in Dubai, which they share with their husbands / relatives. Sometimes they will be around while you are on the act (and sometimes even watch) and is sometimes difficult for those who require total privacy. Such cases, work out for a straight and avoid the 'full night'. The best would be to take them to a furnished apartment. They have their own choice and will lead you to them. Most of them will lie that they are Moroccans, better not ask them their nationality. Their charges will vary from Dhs.200 (1 shot) / Dhs.500 (full night) to Dhs.500 (1 shot) to Dhs.1,500 (full night). The best bargains are available after 1.00pm. Do not spend more than a couple of beers if you spend time negotiating, then half way through the act they will pretend to fall asleep. Some Ethopians will provide you ultimate pleasure. Depends on your choice and luck. Most of them have heavy breasts and make a lot of noise during sex. Some provide oral and anal. Never provide them with alcohol before the act. Never give them extra money than agreed upon. This is no charity.

UGANDANS - Never mistake them for the Ethopians. They are usually hughly built and ugly. They can be found in the byelanes around Gold Souk. Usually found wearing just a top and skirt, with no underwear inside. They are avilable for as low as Dhs.30 (1 shot) and can be taken to a neighbouring furnished apartment (That's Dhs.50 extra for the room). They usually wear nothing inside and have stripped even before you have latched the room and ask you to hurry through the process. They easily provide bj's, even let you come in their mouths, allow penetration without rubber, allow anal and even threesome. But the pleasure got in return is suspect and AIDS definite if you are unprotected. They are usually dirty and smell foul from the organs when they spread out. You may require a gas mask if you plan on anal or doggie. Most give excellent bj's and allow any position that their physique could. Surprisingly they have very well to do customers. Many Britishers pick them up (such Brits are called 'coalminers' by their peers). If you take them to your apartment, they will clean up your refrigerator and bar.

PHILLIPINOS - With the advent of Russians, they have totally lost control of the market. Though they are the best available. They are mostly found in Philipino restaurants in Karama, Bur Dubai & Deira. Most of them work in offices and moonlight as prostitutes. They are expensive (from Dhs.500 onwards) and extremely clean. They provide a massage (usually) and it is recommended that you don't miss out on that. Mostly they do not allow oral and anal. But provide the best of orient - a smooth, soft and sexy screw. They can be good escorts as well and take you around the city and would even go out for a dinner / movie with you. However beware of those who ask you for gifts. Though some may be above 30 years and with children and family, you would certainly not suspect them to be more than early 20's. Definitely they are the best in city, if you are not compulsory about oral / anal.

PAKISTANIS - They are found in nightclubs in Deira and Bur Dubai. Some are found near Roundabouts in Deira (and are picked up by Pakistani taxi drivers). Avoid them. They are very dirty, chew tobacco and talk a lot. They behave cranky once you take them to your apartment and drink heavily. But sometimes they can be marvelous. If a Pakistani finds your with a Pakistani prostitute, he will follow you and might agitate you. Taxidrivers usually ask questions if you are transporting them and they talk to each other in a alien language. There have been instances of mugging by Pakistani prostitutes who have their males trailing them. However, I repeat, some are simply marvellous.

INDIANS - Are again found in Indian pubs / nightclubs in Deira and Bur Dubai. There are some housewives too who practice when their husbands are at work (with the knowledge of their husbands, of course). Sometimes they bring their child along or would have them around if you visit their home. The ones found in clubs arrive on 14 day / 3 month visas from Bombay and are part of a well oranised trade by the hotel owners. Usually you have to take them to a room in the same hotel. Others would give you an appointment the next day! They are usually clean, do not allow oral / anal. They charge between Dhs. 100 to Dhs.300 (1 shot). A full night with them sometimes don't work. They usually provide handjobs in the restaurant itselves, but you would go broke with them ordering orange juices (Dhs.50 each!) and snacks. You can also pick up working women from Cyclone.

MOROCCANS - The ultimate. Visit Dubai airport when the Air Morocco flight arrives and watch them get into cars with rich Arabs. They are hardly found in pubs and hotels. You need excellent contacts to get one in your hand. They come with a very expensive tag (Dhs.3000 and above) and are said to be value for money. They usually come to Dubai to meet some rich Arab who will maintain her. If you have the luck, money & contact...go for a Moroccan.

BRITISH - They are usually found in pubs / discos in star hotels. Try the ones in Sheraton, Hyatt, Dubai Plaza, Shell Inn, Ramada, Cyclone, etc. They drink a lot before they agree to come along and charge over Dhs.1,000 for a shot. They are considered good and are mostly picked up by Arabs and Brits themselves. Mostly they are 18-25 years or above 35 years. They will require you to take them to your apartment (no furnished apartments or hotels for them) and you will incur more then you had planned to spend.

Hope that suffices your inquisitiveness and ticks you on the search. Dubai is great by night and hopping from one pub to the next will really open out your search and keep your options open. Try visiting Cyclone and check out the variety that it offers. Be on foot in Deira and take the Yousuf Baker Road (near Claridge Hotel) and walk upto Al Nasr Square after 7 pm and continue through the bylanes to the Gold Souq. You will discove the best in Arabic nightlife. Good luck (never forget the condom)

"Saudi needs 50,000 nurses in 6 months"

RECRUITER SAYS:
Saudi needs 50,000 nurses in 6 months
By Veronica Uy

MANILA, Philippines -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia needs from 50,000 to 60,000 nurses in the next six months, and officials of the King Fahd Medical Center are in the country interviewing prospective applicants, a recruiter said Friday.

In a telephone interview with INQUIRER.net, Lito Soriano of the LBS E-recruitment Solutions said the requirement of the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia, for medical staff was urgent, but the Philippines would only be able to fill up one in five job vacancies in the kingdom.

"Even with the economic crisis, the demand for nurses and other medical staff in the Middle East is very high and very urgent," he said.

"Unlike in the United States, the projected need for nurses in the Middle East is immediate," he added.

To illustrate the immediacy of the demand, Soriano said King Fahd Medical Center has linked up with more than two Philippine recruitment agencies to fill up the vacancies.

"This is a reflection of the lack of nurses there," he said.

"The top priorities in Saudi are security and health, and its ministries of defense, aviation, and health, which operated government hospitals, are doing the hiring not just for nurses, but for technical medical workers like X-ray technicians, respiratory technicians, and the like," he said.

Soriano said applicants might check out his company's website (http://www.e-recruitment.com.ph) or send in their applications to

aplymsd@e-recruitment.com.ph.

At the same time, he said, Saudi increased its inflation allowance from five percent to 10 percent of the basic salary, which would range from $600 to $1,000. "This is on top of free housing, free transportation, and yearly vacation," he said.

Placement fee, which is collected by 20 percent of recruitment agencies, is usually a month's worth of salary.

Asked why the Philippines was not able to fill the nurses need for Saudi Arabia, Soriano said lack of experience was the main reason.

"Saudi hospitals need nurses with two years actual experience in tertiary hospitals with at least 200 beds and working with modern equipment," he said.

Unfortunately, he said, there was a lack of tertiary hospitals in the country and the volunteer work of Filipino nurses in government hospitals were not properly recognized.

"We should demand respect and recognition for Filipino nurses here. Even if their experience is for actual staff work, their certification only indicates their work as volunteer nurses. These certifications are not acceptable to Saudi employers," he said.

"The Department of Health and the Department of Labor and Employment, which are responsible for these certifications, should make them more specific and more official," he added.

To Filipino nurses who are aiming to work in the US, Soriano suggested that they try and gain more experience in Saudi hospitals. He said that the US action on allowing foreign nurses into US hospitals was still a long way off, even with the recommendation of the US Ombudsman for Citizenship and Immigration Services.

"Our nurses should try and gain more work experience in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries first, as it takes only 30 to 45 working days to leave for their jobsites after selection," he said.

"Saudi needs 50,000 nurses in 6 months"

RECRUITER SAYS:
Saudi needs 50,000 nurses in 6 months

Transvestites: A definite no-no in Dubai

The Dubai Police Department arrested 40 cross-dressing tourists in malls and other public places, the Dubai-based daily Gulf News reported.

The tourists were interrogated by the Public Prosecution and were ordered to leave Dubai.

The arrests were part of a campaign announced by the local police in late May, which was aimed at "protecting society from the dangers posed by transvestites."

"Dubai Police have made up their mind to tackle this problem strictly," Dubai Police Chief Lt.-Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim said upon launching the campaign.

"Any man who dresses up and behaves like a woman in public, or vice versa, will be legally questioned and legal action will be taken against him," said Tamim, adding that the fact transvestites were frequently being spotted in public places was against the United Arab Emirates' traditions and social values.

Tamim expressed his view that studying in a mixed environment was the reason behind this phenomenon and called on the Social Affairs Ministry to study the issue.

The local police also asked preachers to highlight the "dangers" of the issue during their Friday sermons.

Meanwhile, a British couple arrested for having sex on a Dubai beach on July 5 was referred yesterday to the Public Prosecution.

The police said that 36-year-old Michelle Palmer and 34-year-old Vince Acor had been accused of obscenity and consensual sex under the influence of liquor.

The Public Prosecution will investigate the case and will then refer the matter to a Dubai court.

Pamela Anderson With Royalty in Abu Dhabi

If things go well for Pamela Anderson and her new man, she could soon become royalty.

Anderson has been quietly seeing a man from the United Arab Emirates. And he's not just any man—the dude is a member of Abu Dhabi's royal family, a source exclusively tells me.

The blond bombshell star of E!'s new Pam: Girl on the Loose is being tight-lipped about the mystery beau, but we've got some details for you...

She's actually only revealed his name to a few friends, so she usually refers to him by a pet name: Milk-Sheik, or Milk for short.

Most recently, they were spotted hanging out with friends this weekend at the Abbey, a gay bar in West Hollywood. "He's very handsome," says my source.

Anderson apparently met her new beau when she visited Abu Dhabi in June with the Make a Wish Foundation. Since then, she has announced she is partnering with the royal family to build an ecofriendly hotel in the area.

My Life In Dubai Part 4

Before we precede reading about Khawla’s management, we first need to know who she is. She was born as Khuleh Mohamad Eisa Imani (that’s how they spelled her name in her passport & other id) in Bandar Lengeh, Iran. According to her Id, she was bon on 27 June 1978, however, she told me that the Registrar in Iran made a mistake, she was actually born on 23 March 1982 and that makes her the same age as me, and make her share the same birthday with my husband Yusuf. (She is too complicated that even her birth date is full of complication). I’m not sure if it’s true. Can a registrar made such a mistake? From 1982 to 1978? Hmmm… maybe or maybe she just wants to make herself younger.

Her late-father was a police officer in Dubai Police Force. I’m not quite sure what is his ranking, but according to Khawla, he held such a high position that made him so popular among the policemen and all the policemen knows her cause of her father (that’s what she said). Her mother is a typical Iranian housewife who stayed at home taking care of the children & grandchildren. Khawla got a total of 7 siblings. The first one is her brother who got 2 wives and stay in Iran. The brother is also one of the partners of Fun Time Tourism just for the sake of enabling him to get the visa to enter Dubai as and when he wished to. The second one is her sister name Fatimah, followed by Zam Zam who is Mr. Ali’s wife, Ziba is the third one, Khawla comes after that. Halimah is the sixth and the coolest among all the sisters while Mouna is the most stuck up among all and the youngest (she can’t accept the fact that she is an Iranian just because she was born in Dubai and at that point of time just received her UAE nationality).

When I first joined Fun Time, Khawla was pursuing her study in medical. She is the student of Gulf Medical College (GMC) in Ajman. She is studying to become a surgeon. However, she failed her final exam. Well she didn’t admit that and I didn’t know about that at all till my husband told me that she requested my husband and Mr. Ali to go and meet her dean to help her with her marks so that she can pass. But, the dean told her to retake the exam and of course she refused it! Talking about that, I remember clearly on one morning, when I was reading Gulf News, under the Tabloid section, I saw the pictures of GMC Student’s convocation day. I purposely brought that paper to the office and when Khawla stepped in, I said “Miss Khawla, there’s a convocation picture of GMC Medical Student. I was looking at it, but I can’t find you. Why were you not there?” Guess what she said “Ohh! That’s not important for me…” (Yeah!!! Because she failed, if only she passed she will be walking with her nose dangling in the air). The best part of all, she failed the exam, but she still calls herself Dr. Khawla Imani… Hahahahahaha

The biggest problem with Khawla is, she never want to admit that she doesn’t know. She feels that she knows everything and she can’t accept the fact that her employee (Lezah & especially ME) knows much more than her. Come on ok. Even though she owns the company, this is her first experience in tourism but I have been in tourism for 5 years at that time. And the problem always arise when she do things her way cause she think that is the best solution and when the thing didn’t come out the way she planned, she will dump the headache on us! (NUTS!!!)

During the time when Mr. Ali was missing, Khawla next strategy was to get closer to me. Cause I am the only one who knows everything about the company. She always asked me and my husband to join her and her family for their Friday outing. And most of the Friday (our one and only off day), we will go to Mushrif Park or Mamzar Park. There’s one time during the Prophet’s Birthday Holiday, we all drive all the way to Fujayra. What we did during the outing? Khawla got lots of nieces and nephews. Me & my husband have always been a kid lover. So we spend our time playing with them!

I still remember on our very first outing to Mushrif Park, Khawla’s car met with an accident. The car was driven by Ali (her cousin not Mr. Ali. To avoid confusion we call this Ali as Small Ali) when the tyre burst and hit the tree. That accident made the engine totally damaged and Khawla ended up with no car and used the company 4-wheel drive to transport her.

The outing made my relationship with her family became closer. But one thing for sure, on every Friday outing, at one point of time, Khawla & her sister Zam Zam will be missing for a few hours. And I know very well she drove her sister to Sharjah jail to visit Mr. Ali.

Khawla has always think that she come from a very rich family just because of her connection with the Abbasi family. Ibrahim Abbasi is a close friend of her late-father. And this very old man is damn rich I tell you. You can go to mina bazaar and see all those Abbasi shops down there. All her request, eventually being granted by this old man, and he is the one who actually financing Fun Time Tourism. However, Khawla is most hated by the old man’s sons. They thought that Khawla took a great advantage of the old man. Try to imagine, at one point of time, his loan to Khawla reached 1 million Dirham. She called this old man his grandpa. But, logically, how can he be her grandfather when her family name is IMANI and that old man family name is ABBASI. After I investigated by questioning her in a very friendly manner, I managed to get the answer that they are linked with the fact that Ibrahim Abbasi was one Mohamad Eisa Imani very good friends. That’s all and nothing more.

Because of all this, Khawla feel that she’s someone powerful, rich and her “contacts” are very strong. Well, there’s a saying, you can live peacefully in Dubai only if you have wasta (contacts). If you have good wasta, nothing is impossible in Dubai. And only because of all this, she did what she had done to me…

Come up next… Khawla’s managing Fun Time & small problems starting to bloom…

My Life in Dubai - Part III

It was 02 December 2005; I came into the office as usual and start doing my work. Suddenly Sulaiman Yousefi stepped into the office. He is one of the safari drivers who is also Mr. Ali’s brother. So I asked him, where is Ali? He just said “Ali go Iran” I asked when? He said “Yesterday at night”. And his answer surprised me. I remember very clearly that I saw Ali’s passport and wallet when I opened up his drawer to take out one document. But I didn’t bother to ask further as this Sulaiman didn’t speak much English. Asking him more might end me up with either misunderstood him or I’ll get stress up trying to figure out what he’s trying to say.

The last I spoke to Mr. Ali was about 9.00pm the previous night when he called me to tell me about safari program. I immediately log in to my Galileo system to check if there’s any flight going to Iran after 9.00pm. But, the last flight left to Iran was 7.45pm. It is impossible that Mr. Ali took that flight because he called me at 9.00pm from his DubaiDubai to Bandar Abbas & Bandar Lengeh (where Ali & Khawla from) by ship. But the lady told me that ship will never leave at night. It’s always in the morning. Once I hear that, I know that Ali is in Dubai. Only thing is that, I don’t know what happened to him. number and according to him he just came back from desert safari tour. Next, I called up the vessel company who got the service from

Khawla stepped into the office and pretend that nothing happened. I purposely asked her where is Ali, she said “Ali went to Iran. His sister in-law who is pregnant met with an accident”. What a great liar she is. Fine!!! I believe everybody lies. But for heaven sake, don’t involve your relative in your lies. Cause every word is a prayer.

Days turn to weeks and week turns to months. There’s still no news of Ali. This is definitely not him. From the time I start working, Ali never forget to call me to update me on his whereabouts and to check on the office matter. Even when I was back in Singapore for few days he calls me almost everyday. One question that still running in my mind at that point of time, what happened to Mr. Ali?

One day I asked that question to Lezah. And the conversation goes like this:

Me: Be, what do you think happened to Ali? I know he’s not in Iran.

Lezah: (With her nonsense innocent face) He is not in Iran.

Me: I’m sure about that. But how sure are you?

Lezah: (still with the same face) Very very sure

Me: What make you so sure?

Lezah: Oh because I asked Shariff what happened to Ali, and he told me.

Me: And you don’t even bother to tell me.

Lezah: I want to tell you noh. But you didn’t ask

Me: Ok, tell me what happened to Ali?

Lezah: He’s in JAIL!!!

Me: What???

Lezah: Yeah he’s in jail.

Me: But why?

Lezah: He got problem with cheques. He helped one of his friends and gave him a guarantee cheque and this friend go and bank in the cheque. It’s a big amount.

Me: OH MY GOD!!! But is Shariff sure about this?

Lezah: Yeah be. They are good friends. Of course Shariff knows what happened. He even told me if I wanted to see him I can. He will bring me to Sharjah Jail.

Me: (speechless, puzzled, don’t know what gonna happened next)

Even though both of us knows the fact about Ali, we pretend as if we never knew what happened and just dance to Khawla’s tune. If she can pretend so do we. In another occasion Muhamad Ali Bahri came to the office. He is the previous owner of Fun Time. Khawla bought over the company from him. Lezah has to go somewhere and he decided to give her lift. During the journey, Muhamad Ali Bahri accidentally talks about Ali who is in prison. And his slip of tongue becomes the double confirmation of Ali’s whereabouts.

The challenging part of Fun Time began when Ali is “absent”. Since she (Khawla) is quite new to tourism trade, and at the same time, my husband, Yoosuf was doing nothing except for sending me to office and fetching me, Khawla asked my husband if he could help her out with the company. Just because I was there, he agreed.

Did Fun Time Turn out better under Khawla’s care? Sure not… the nightmare for me and Lezah began… stay tune for My Life In Dubai part IV
